Giorgi Gakharia: Polling stations will no longer open in Azerbaijan and Greece

"Due to the epidemiological situation, no polling stations will open in Azerbaijan and Greece for the October 31 elections," the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, stated.

According to him, the government will not be able to question the decisions made by the strategic partners due to the epidemiological situation.

"As you know, the epidemic is global. We can not even question the decisions made by our strategic partners, considering their epidemiological situation. As far as I know, a decision has been made in Azerbaijan; elections can not be held there, as well as in Greece. I do not know anything about Spain. It is an unfortunate fact for us because I am sure that the Georgian Dream would have succeeded in Azerbaijan, Greece, and Spain. We did our best to enforce this constitutional right, but the final decision is not up to us as these are the sovereign states," Giorgi Gakharia said.
