The Ombudsman speaks about the sexual harassment case committed by the Head of the company on the employee.
According to the Public Defender, the victim was undergoing an internship at the company. After verbally and physically abusive behavior she was forced to resign. The victim appealed to the Public Defender's Office for help.
"The Public Defender of Georgia addressed the harasser, urging the company, in accordance with Article 5, Section 9 of Labor Code of the Organic Law of Georgia, to incorporate non-discrimination clauses into its internal regulations, collective agreements and other documents, to ensure their performance and take measures to ensure the equal treatment with persons at the workplace", the statement of the Ombudsman said.
