The Ministry of Health has issued a statement on the deceased 21-year-old coronavirus patient who was discharged from hospital after his alleged recovery.
"After the quarantine period, he was subjected to PCR testing and tested positive. He was later under observation in the quarantine area at the hotel, and after the time determined by the protocol, he was discharged from the hospital on 25 October. Accordingly, this person was no longer infected with COVID-19. His burial will not take place in accordance with the protocol for coronavirus victims. Before he was released from the hospital, he felt well. He had no symptoms and no health-related complaints. On the contrary, he repeatedly asked the doctor to end quarantine early. A possible cause of death is sudden heart failure. Further inquiaries are underway," the information released by the agency reads.
A young man, 21, who had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier, died in the Rustavi municipality today. He was treated at the COVID hotel and was sent home yesterday.
