Tamara Gamkrelidze, the former Head of the St. Nino Monastery in Martvili, responds to the statement made by Archbishop Dimitri regarding the pardoning of Giorgi Mamaladze.
"Metropolitan Dimitri's statement is yet another proof of dishonesty. If Deacon Giorgi Mamamladze was such a bad person, why did you support or promote him? You sacrificed those around you for your good. You shamelessly blame Metropolitan Petre, who did what you had to do by sacrificing himself for the innocent priest. Metropolitan Dimitri, you are not worthy of holding the title of the high priest," Tamara Gamkrelidze writes on her Facebook page.
Metropolitan Dimitri of Batumi and Lazeti said that Petre Tsaava played a significant role in extending Mamaladze's stay in prison.
Besides, Archbishop Dimitri spoke about blackmail by the Deacon.
