His Holiness Ilia II has sent Patriarch Kirill of Moscow a Congratulation Letter, wishing him a happy 75th birthday.
The Georgian patriarch thanked His Holiness Kirill for abiding by the church rules and recognizing Georgia's breakaway regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali as Georgia's integral territories.
''Our people and we are grateful to you for having repeatedly helped us to release our compatriots who were taken hostage for crossing temporary Georgia-Russia borders,'' the patriarch's letter reads.
