I have not visited the memorial as a great number of people were unable to do the same, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said.
"Today is 9th of April: one of the most tragic days in the history of our country, and also the day which brought us the greatest victory, and this day cannot sink into oblivion. However, our disposition to it has changed due to the present state of affairs, which is the state of emergency, lock-down, and quarantine.
Lots of people could not visit the memorial, including me; I have not visited the memorial as a great number of people were unable to do the same, but this does not mean that we cannot feel this day with the deepest feeling possible, and we have forgotten our selfless heroes," Zurabishvili declared.
