In case of common cold symptoms, you most likely have coronavirus: Imnadze

Paata Imnadze, the deputy head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, says that around 90% of flu-like illnesses are the coronavirus today.

Paata Imnadze mentioned that influenza-like illnesses are starting to spread now.

"The influenza virus has not yet been detected, with lots of factors contributing to this: around 55-60% of citizens wear facemasks properly, with about 170,000 people having got influenza vaccines within the free state programme and 50,000 in private sectors. This is unprecedented in our country.

All this resulted in the fact that the influenza has not yet been detected; however, there still are very few influenza-like viruses, with this implying that in the case of common cold symptoms, you most likely have the coronavirus," Imnadze said.
