The Interagency Coordinating Council discussed and, in line with world practice, decided that individuals that had coronavirus should be considered fully vaccinated if given a single dose of the vaccine.
According to Giorgi Ghibradze, the Head of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council, we are talking about foreign nationals who, after recovering from coronavirus and receiving one dose of vaccine, will be granted the status of a double-vaccinated person.
Citizens like these will be able to cross the Georgian border.
"If a person is vaccinated twice when entering Georgia, he/she is not subject to restrictions when crossing the border, nor are there any other regulations when it comes to attending seminars, conferences, and workshops.
In many countries, it is the practice that if a person has recovered and got vaccinated once, they are considered to have been vaccinated twice," Ghibradze stated.
