The incident took place near the Tbilisi City Court, where the processes of detained on November 18 are scheduled. Irakli Nadiradze, a member of the Tbilisi City Council, was verbally abused by one of the citizens. Nadiradze described the incident as a provocation.
"There will be many more provocateurs like this. It is not the first time the State Security Service does things like this. We are fighting for the truth and the will of the Georgian nation and we will fight until the end", Nadiradze said.
Nadiradze is one of the 37 defendants whose trial is due to take place in the City Court today.
All cases are being reviewed by one judge - Valerian Pilishvili.
The detainees are being investigated under Articles 166 and 173 of the Administrative Code, which implies imprisonment for 15 days or financial sanction.
