A member of the Municipal Assembly and the resident of the Samtredia municipality, identified only as M.B. (DOB 1973), has been fined for violating quarantine regulations.
According to the MIA, the municipal assembly member tested positive for the new coronavirus on 29 November; however, the infected man violated the self-isolation rules, left the quarantine area arbitrarily, and headed for the Kutaisi municipality from Samtredia in his car. Law enforcement officers imposed GEL 2,000 fine on him for defying the regulations.
The MIA calls upon citizens to follow the law and abide by the rules.
