An influenza quarantine has been ordered at schools in the Tskhinvali region in an effort to try to prevent the spread of the highly contagious disease. Marina Kochieva, a representative of the de-facto government, says that around 80% of students are not attending lessons. In her words, students were ordered to stay home from 22 January to 1 February.
A total of 429 infected people have visited medical institutions in the de-facto Tskhinvali region, with 330 being minors under 15.
