Irakli Gharibashvili: Will vaccination be mandatory?

"Of course, all of this is voluntary. It is a choice of every human being. Each person must make his own decision, make his own choice," Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili stated in connection with the vaccination, thus explaining the statement made by him.

As the Prime Minister explained at the presentation of Akhmeta mayoral candidate Alexi Pitskhelauri, his statement regarding vaccination at one of the meetings was misunderstood.

"The current epidemiological situation remains a challenge for us. We are fighting a deadly virus. I would like to take this opportunity and once again urge you to get involved in the vaccination process.

It seems that they misunderstood what I was saying as if I had said that we would take appropriate steps and vaccination would be mandatory. Of course, this is a lie. The government does everything and creates maximum comfort for the citizens.

There is a likelihood of complicating this infection in any person. Completely healthy people have unfortunately died of COVID infection, and that is why vaccination is needed. The government is obliged to provide maximum information to our population and explain that the vaccine is safe, and all scientists have confirmed this by experiments," said Irakli Gharibashvili.
