According to the head of the National Technical Group of Immunization Advisers, Ivane Chkhaidze, Georgia is on the downward curve of the fourth wave.
Whether there will be a new, stronger wave of coronavirus in the country depends on the new mutation.
"At present, there is no danger of a new mutation with a qualification of concern, not in Georgia, and even in the world, all four mutations are known. I'm sure the fifth wave will not be as severe as it used to be, but we expect seasonal viruses to increase as winter approaches," Ivane Chkhaidze told the Media Center, Mtavari.
