"We are delighted to have the opportunity to deliver vaccines to Georgia. The Georgian government has worked intensively on vaccines," US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan told journalists.
According to her, the US intends to distribute about 80,000,000 doses of the vaccine to different countries worldwide. Degnan said details are yet to be clarified.
"As you know, this is quite a large number of vaccines that the US is going to share with different countries; we are talking about 80,000,000 doses. Therefore, the details are still being clarified. We have constant communication with the Ministry of Health and the National Center for Disease Control. We want to vaccinate as many Georgians as possible because this is the only way to defeat the pandemic," Degnan said.
