Director Lana Ghoghoberidze got publicly vaccinated against coronavirus in the presence of media representatives.
The 92-year-old director was vaccinated with Pfizer at the Bokeria Tbilisi Referral Hospital. She also called on citizens to do the same.
"We must all get vaccinated if we want to survive.
I am very sorry for the girl; she was very beautiful and smart. She was the one who called on everyone to get vaccinated. We must all do so in order to develop universal immunity.
I got the Pfizer vaccine, and I feel entirely normal. I am sure there will be no complications. Everyone is very careful, and everything is organized," Lana Ghoghoberidze said.
Vaccination with Pfizer starts in Georgia today. In addition to medical staff, citizens over 65 can also be vaccinated from March 25. During registration, citizens have the opportunity to choose between the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.
29,250 doses of Pfizer vaccine were introduced in Georgia on March 25. Before that, on March 13, the country received 43,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
