"There were 4 999 road accidents across the country in 2020, with 6 640 people injured and 450 killed," the National Statistics Office of Georgia spreads the information based on the Ministry of Internal Affairs data.
According to the National Statistics Office, of the road accidents last year, 137 were caused because the driver of the vehicle was not sober.
In 2019 there were 5 839 road accidents, with 481 people dead.
