"Due to the epidemiological situation, it is possible that new restrictions will be imposed in the next few weeks, as the number of patients increases," Marina Endeladze, the head of the boxing department of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, told Report.ge.
She said that the current infection rate is very high, and the third wave of infection in the country has practically started.
"There will be local restrictions for sure, but the rest depends on the community. As for the third wave, it has practically started, because unfortunately, we have almost the same numbers as last April, and cases will probably increase. I thought we would not have a peak, but the increase in the number is noticeable, but I think due to the vaccine, the number of infections will not reach the numbers of the second wave," Marina Endeladze told Report.ge.
