According to Marina Ezugbaia, the medical director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, one of the newly confirmed cases of coronavirus is at their center.
Ezugbaia noted that the source of the infection is connected to America. The patient was in quarantine after the trip.
"One patient out of the seven new cases is at our hospital. The patient arrived late at night yesterday. According to the initial analysis, the condition is not serious. Today he will undergo extensive research to reconcile these studies, and, given his condition, we will assess the severity of the condition," Ezugbaia said.
According to Marina Ezugbaia, there is one critical patient at the clinic. Also, 26 patients have moderate pneumonia, and their condition is satisfactory.
"Out of 195 patients we have, 69 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus at our clinic, while 29 cured and left the hospital.
Currently, 39 patients are undergoing treatment. We have one critical patient out of these 39 patients whose condition has not improved and is still serious. The number of other patients who have undergone intensive care is stable, and they no longer have severe pneumonia, the number of patients like this is 6. In addition to these six, 22 patients are still with pneumonia, although these are mild cases, and given the timing of the disease, predictably all should be hopeful," Ezugbai said.
