Marneuli and Bolnisi are closed for quarantine
Marneuli and Bolnisi regions are declared in quarantine. Both regions are closed, the Prime Minister made the statement during the briefing.
“The source of the infection is not found in Marneuli. It was internal contamination during the ritual event attended by tens of people. The situation is complicated. It is what we called the stage of internal spread,” – the Prime Minister said.
The decision was made due to the internal virus spread by an infected woman who had contacts with more than 80 persons. Her health condition is critical.
The last information reads 54 cases of infection in total; eight out of 54 recovered. The number of people in quarantine is 3,254, and 233 persons are under doctors’ observation.
