MIA Border Police receives rough terrain vehicles and communication

According to the MIA, the MIA Border Police of Georgia has received ten rough terrain vehicles and communication devices thanks to the European Union's financial support and the assistance of Georgia's International Organization for Migration.

The MIA says that more than GEL 1.4 million transport and communication devices entirely live up to border protection requirements and ensure far more effective border crime prevention measures.

"The EU continues its active support of the integrated border management process, which implies a further improvement of the border management systems and their modernization. With the EU's financial support, the International Organization for Migration will also implement different critical projects in the future," the information reads.
