An investigation into the cyberattack on various websites has been launched. The Ministry of Internal Affairs told report.ge.
The investigation was launched under Article 284 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies unauthorized access to a computer system.
The offense is punishable by fine or by correctional labor for up to two years or by imprisonment for the term of 2 to 5 years.
Cyberattacks were carried out on the websites of the President's Administration, Courts, Batumi City Council and Kutaisi Municipality as well as several media agencies.
