The Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Georgia is warning citizens against fake text messages.

"Some customers have received fake text messages on behalf of "UCKEBA," which read as follows: "you have been fined GEL 3,000 for violation of the curfew law. R.M. police.ge." 

Similar text messages have not bee sent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and do not correspond to the truth. 

This and other similar misdemeanors are being subjected to investigation, and perpetrators will be punished in accordance with the procedure provided for by the legislation of Georgia," the statement reads.
