Yuri Nozadze, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, has a coronavirus.

The Ministry released information on the social network.

"Given the high public interest, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia decided to release the statement about Yuri Nozadze, who got diagnosed with the virus on March 10, after repeated surveys.

Since his family member was diagnosed last Thursday, the Deputy Minister was in self-isolation. Yuri Nozadze continues the treatment under the supervision of doctors.

It is noteworthy that epidemiologists do not think that the health of other employees is in danger," reads the statement.

Georgia has 23 recorded cases of Covid-19.

Currently, there are 126 people in quarantine and 46 in inpatient care.
