The Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri got vaccinated against coronavirus live.
Gomelauri attended Nikoloz Kipshidze Central University Clinic and got vaccinated with the Chinese "Sinopharm."
As he told reporters after the vaccination, his decision was primarily driven by a desire to encourage the population.
"I got vaccinated with "Sinopharm," first of all, I wanted to set an example for our population, especially to encourage the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We have been living in this situation for more than a year, and nothing changes; too many people die, vaccination is inevitable. Everyone who has good health and has a doctor's recommendation should get the vaccine," Gomelauri said.
Along with the Minister, other employees of the agency are also involved in the vaccination program today.
