"The Ministry of Health sent a message to some clinics on Friday that they will return to the provision of multi-profile services from February 1," said the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, at a briefing after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
According to Gabunia, up to 3 000 beds for coronavirus management are free in the country.
The Deputy Minister noted that 3 710 confirmed patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital sector.
"Up to 3 000 beds are free; 3 710 confirmed patients are receiving treatment. Of these, 798 are in the oxygen-intensive care unit, and 230 are in the intensive care unit. It is good that the number of severe patients is decreasing with the decrease in cases. The number of patients at COVID hotels has also decreased. 634 patients are being treated at hotels. Following the message from the Ministry of Health, 350 beds will return to normal operation. There will be enough beds left in February to maintain mobilization," Gabunia said.
