Those protesting the construction of the Namakhvani HPP have set tents at Republic Square, Tbilisi.
As the activists report, they will not uninstall the tents until their demands are met. They say they will continue protesting otherwise.
Civil activist Varlam Goletiani states that the government must meet their demands until noon (12:00) tomorrow.
He pledges to present a particular action plan if the government fails to meet their requests.
In Goletiani’s words, the ENKA company should leave the Rioni Gorge, and the contract signed with the company must be terminated.
He adds that all the documents issued to the company since 2015, must be abolished.
The protesters demand:
-The resignation of Economic Minister Natia Turnava
-All those involved in the development of the Namakhvani HPP project to be held responsible
-The power sector should declare a moratorium
