NCDC head Amiran Gamkrelidze says that they have put forward the initiative on banning taxi drivers and passengers from smoking inside the vehicle.
In Gamkrelidze's words, they were against the exception of allowing smoking in taxis as early as 2017, and they have now put forward the initiative prohibiting them from doing so.
''Neither a driver nor a passenger can smoke in taxis because the tobacco smoke which gathers there negatively impacts people's and, especially children's health,'' he declared, adding that initiative on forbidding smoking in private cars applies to cases when a child sits there.
