NCDC head says children must resume face-to-face learning in Georgia

NCDC head Amiran Gamkrelidze supports the initiative to resume face-to-face classes on 4 October. In his words, every possible effort will be exerted to make this possible.

Gamkrelidze stressed that the coronavirus positivity rate is close to 4% in Georgia's mountainous Ajara region, which is why he hopes that classes will resume there in October.

Additionally, he emphasized that the positivity rate is substantially going down in the capital.

Gamkrelidze once again called for vaccination.
