A 51-year-old man in Adjara confirmed to have COVID-19. The Deputy Director of the Adjara Public Health Center told journalists about the new case.

According to Nona Efadze, the man allegedly got an infection from the driver of the trailer.

The patient is in the clinic, and his condition is stable, contacts are being sought.

At the moment, 17 people in contact with him are in quarantine. His house got disinfected.

Sixteen patients diagnosed with coronavirus are undergoing treatment at the Batumi Republican Hospital, one of them is in critical condition.

Three new patients tested positive on coronavirus in Georgia, while three patients recovered. According to stopcov.ge, 1 182 people have COVID-19 in the country, of which 962 already recovered. 

The first case of coronavirus got detected on February 26, 2020, in Georgia.

The World Health Organization recognized coronavirus as a pandemic on March 11, 2020.

The outbreak of pneumonia in China began in December of 2019.
