"Seven new cases of Delta strain have been confirmed in Georgia," Amiran Gamkrelidze stated after the Coordination Council meeting.
"We confirm that the number of confirmed cases of Delta strain increased in Georgia; 7 new cases were confirmed in the laboratory yesterday. About 10-20 percent of the cases in Georgia may be a delta or so-called Indian strain," said the director of the National Center for Disease Control.
Until now, 20 cases of Delta strain have been laboratory confirmed in Georgia.
