"The vaccination process needs to be more active; more people need to be involved!" Ivane Chkhaidze, the head of the National Group of Technical Immunization Advisers, stated while talking to "Qronika."
According to him, the total number of 16-17-year-olds in the country is about 100-120 thousand, of which only up to 5 000 have been vaccinated, which is a very small number.
"However, we must also take into account that the age group has just been selected. This process certainly needs to be intensified. More people need to be involved, especially the family, because the child's decision, even though they are 16-17 years old, must be made consciously," Ivane Chkhaidze noted.
