The number of applications submitted to the Prosecutorial Council has increased, with five candidates having recently applied for the post of General prosecutor.
Lawyers Davit Zirakishvili, Koba Kobakhidze, Dariko Tordia and Valeri Kvantaliani were nominated for the post by the Georgian Bar Association, while Lawyer Victor Akhalbedashvili by the Rights Protection Center of the Prosecutorial Council.
A total of 14 candidates have been presented for the post, with their names available to the public, and soon to be uploaded at the Prosecutorial Council website http://pc.gov.ge/.
Candidates may be nominated for the post before 17 January 2020.
