According to the Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control, more than 300 people in Georgia became infected after the first dose of the vaccine.
Paata Imnadze noted that this is a normal phenomenon because the first dose does not protect a person from infection.
According to him, at times like this, the disease progresses in mild forms.
"There are more than 300 cases; the exact data is still being processed and will be published. This is a normal occurrence, with some infected on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th day. In other words, they were already in the incubation period when they were vaccinated," Imnadze said at the media conference.
As of May 21, a total of 105,500 doses of vaccine were given in Georgia, with 16,147 people fully vaccinated.
