According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, from March 1 to August 17, 0.9% of those vaccinated with two doses after being infected with the coronavirus were hospitalized, and only 0.3% needed resuscitation treatment 98% of those in resuscitation were not vaccinated.
As Gabunia said on the air of "Palitra News," there were several deaths of people who were vaccinated twice, caused by severe illnesses.
"From March 1 to August 17, 96% of infected people were not vaccinated. 97% of unvaccinated persons were admitted to the clinic, while for vaccinated persons, less than 1% required hospital treatment. This indicates that vaccination is very effective for avoiding hospitalization and severe cases. Nothing can be ruled out; we all understand that the vaccine will not have 100% protection, so we should not be surprised that a person who has been vaccinated twice becomes infected.
Vaccination is one of the most effective solutions, so we try to cover as many people as possible," said Tamar Gabunia.
