Public Defender Nino Lomjaria said in her social media post that she would keep abiding by coronavirus regulations.
In her post, she says that considering 1,000 citizens are infected daily and one death reported, she still wears a face mask outdoors if surrounded by people. Also, in her words, she never stays indoors if there are people without face masks. Plus, she keeps a safe social distance and asks people to wear face masks indoors.
At the end of her post, the ombudsman called upon her fellow countrymen to take care of themselves and others.
The face mask mandate has been lifted in Georgia today.
