Paata Imnadze: 31 cases of British strain have been confirmed in Georgia

According to Paata Imnadze, the Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, 31 cases of the British coronavirus strain have been confirmed in the country.

Imnadze says that the British strain is no spread in the country widely at this stage. However, three clusters have been identified, and a total of 31 cases of infection with the new strain have been confirmed in the country.

"Fortunately, the new strain of coronavirus has not yet spread widely in the country. We have three clusters. These were mild cases, prevalent in families, not requiring hospitalization. The thing is that the mask and distance protect from the British strain just like they do from other strains. African and Brazilian strain has not been confirmed in our country yet," Paata Imnadze told Rustavi 2.
