According to Paata Imnadze, the Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, an increase in the number of deaths from coronavirus in Georgia is expected.
Imnadze calls on the population to follow the regulations and get vaccinated.
"Unfortunately, the death toll will rise. So the best decision is to vaccinate and wear masks. The Delta strain is more like a cold than previous strains. Therefore, those who will have cold symptoms, be sure to get tested. Avoid those around you, most importantly. Unfortunately, today we have information that people who know they are infected do not follow the rules, go outside and spread the infection even further," Imnadze said.
