According to Petre Tsaava, the Metropolitan Bishop of Chyondidi, the Holy Synod has deprived him of the high priest ranking.
"Today the Holy Synod made an unprecedented decision, personally Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, the Chairman of the Synod. I think I was unfairly dismissed”, Metropolitan Bishop of Chyondidi said while leaving the sitting of the Holy Synod.
The session of the Holy Synod is underway.
It has been going on for an hour now. What other issues the Synod has to deal with is yet unknown.
