"From March 15, after the beginning of vaccinations, until September 30, a total of 5 469 people in the country, unfortunately, died as a result of COVID-19. In this case, 98.95% were unvaccinated, and 1.05% were vaccinated," Amiran Gamkrelidze said after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
"In the age group of 18-59 years, the protection against fully vaccinated mortality is 99.37%, and in the age group over 60 - 97.8%. These are the total numbers for the four vaccines that were administered in the country," Gamkrelidze said.
