49 tons of potatoes were imported from Turkey at the Sarpi customs checkpoint. According to the Revenue Service, the pests were found in the given product.
Within the framework of the phytosanitary border control, the laboratory research proved the existence of quarantine pests in the mentioned goods.
“As a result of research, Clavibacter Michiganensis Subsp. Sepedonicus has been confirmed. Potatoes were returned to the exporting country,” the Revenue Service said.
