Law enforcers detained two infected citizens in Tbilisi, B.J., born in 1982, and A.K., born in 1985. They were fined for violating the isolation and quarantine rules. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed report.ge about the incident.

"B.J. has been registered as infected since December 15, 2020, while A.K. - from December 20. On both cases, specialists recommended self-isolation. Nevertheless, these citizens left the place of isolation. Law enforcement officers fined A.K. when driving in Varketili settlement. As for B.J., the citizen was fined while walking on one of the central streets of Tbilisi," the statement reads.

The police fined both infected citizens with GEL 2000 for committing an act under Article 42, Prima 10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. After being fined, they were taken to a COVID hotel.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to call on citizens to show high public responsibility, abide by the law, and obey the established regulations.
