Kakha Kukava, the leader of the Free Georgia party, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
"My dear friends, I have tested positive for COVID-19, and, from this moment, I am stopping my public campaign. I feel well and will try to provide my friends and adherents with distant support," Kukava posted on social media.
Georgia recorded 1,872 cases in the past 24 hours to bring the total tally to 30,303. The number of recovered citizens stands at 11,370 after 603 patients have beaten the virus. The death toll is now 215, with 14 dying recently.
