"I do understand how annoying all these restrictions are for the public; however, I also have in mind our neighbor Armenia, which lifted almost all lockdown measures simultaneously, and in the last three days, has seen more coronavirus cases than we since its outbreak; this is the reason why we are dealing with this issue extremely delicately," Paata Imandze, the deputy head of the National Center for Disease Control declared.
In Imnadze's words, lockdown measures must be lifted gradually. "Obviously, all these measures will be gradually lifted, but we just shudder to think that the situation which has been rather positive so far may spiral out of control," Imnadze said.
