President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has attended an exhibition of the paintings by Georgian artist Vakhtang Bardavelidze.
The exhibition was held in the hall of the National Library of Georgia.
‘The work of Vakhtang Bardavelidze as well as this exhibition is a real discovery to most of Georgians. He was a well-known artist in Germany and was better appreciated in foreign countries than in Georgia as it often happens,’ Zurabishvili said adding Bardavelidze’s family returned to Georgia and presented the collection of the paintings.
Salome Zurabishvili called on Georgians to visit the exhibition.
About 50 paintings that have been exhibited for the first time for recent years will remain open to the Georgian visitors until October 18.
