Parents and directors of different private schools have staged a rally outside the Ministry of Education. They are protesting against the govt's decision to reopen schools on Oct.1, maintaining that the institutions meet all standards to welcome students on Sept.15.
Demonstrators also stress that distance learning is a failure, which does not work and will never work.
"E-learning is a flop. It is not effective and will never be. We have spent a huge amount of financial resources to fulfill the government's requirements. This is a wrong approach to schools and education, which can never be replaced by distance learning," a protester said.
Today, the Prime Minister declared that starting from Sept.15, students will be taught entirely online before Oct.1.
