Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says that public transport fares have not increased, and they are trying to mislead the public.
In his words, citizens who often use municipal transport will have lower expenses.
''A new payment system is being introduced in the country, with the payment method functioning in all European countries where the system runs smoothly. Georgia cannot also be an exception.
Citizens will opt for the most convenient package: a week-long (this is mostly for tourists); a day-long, a month-long, three-month-long, or one-year-long package,'' Kakha Kaladze declared.
