All types of municipal transport in Georgia resumed operations.
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, they decided based on citizens' social and economic interests. Gakharia noted that the studies show that the country's epidemic is under control, and the risks of spreading the virus are reduced.
According to the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, along with the restoration of all types of municipal transport, the public will have to consider the recommendations of healthcare specialists. When traveling by public transport, the use of a mask will be mandatory.
Besides, buses and minibusses are not allowed to have air conditioning, and drivers will be required to open windows.
It is forbidden to move a standing passenger in a vehicle. The Tbilisi Minibus made a statement in this regard. The City Hall explained the reason behind the decision as well. According to the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi, 100% loading of public transport is not in the plan. However, the supply of vehicles will be the same in terms of quantity and modes. According to Irakli Khmaladze, the car fleet will fully serve the citizens.
The relevant municipal service and the patrol police will control the number of people and the rule regarding wearing masks.
There are no restrictions on the number of passengers on buses for now. As Giorgi Sharkov, the General Director of the Transport Company, told reporters, conductors will monitor buses, and patrol police officers will take care of the metro. Sharkov also explained that the transport company would control passengers' flow and, according to the demand, will bring out the maximum number of vehicles.
Paata Imnadze, the deputy director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, urged citizens not to travel by overcrowded vehicles and walk short distances so that people who need them can use them.
According to the Mayor of the capital, the disinfection of public transport will take place daily.

Long-distance transport will start working on June 8.
