Today, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church Ilia II did not attend the Annunciation Mass at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.
As Tsisana Shartava, the Patriarch's doctor told report.ge, Ilia II is feeling well, and he attended the service at the Patriarchate in the morning. He did not participate in the service at Holy Trinity Cathedral due to changes in blood pressure. According to Tsisana Shartava, the health condition of the Patriarch is satisfactory.
"Blood pressure slightly changed, and we asked to stay away from the service for today. There is Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday ahead, and he should be strong for it. As you know, yesterday he was praying, and this morning he attended the service at the Patriarchate," Shartava said.
Today, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary.
The enthronement of the Patriarch, Reverend Shio, held the service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
