The Revenue Service under the Finance Ministry of Georgia says that following the search of a Turkish citizen's vehicle, customs officers found undeclared goods, namely, 148.5 g of gold, USD 28,520, 4,600 cigarettes, and different alcoholic beverages.
The law-breaking citizen has reportedly been imposed GEL 5,000, with case materials forwarded to the Investigation Agency under the Finance Ministry of Georgia as undeclared goods hit GEL 17 460,63.
Similarly, after subjecting an Uzbek citizen to search at the Tbilisi airport, customs officers seized GEL 16 168,98 gold objects. The case materials were also sent to the Investigation Agency under Finance Ministry.
