Four locals in the Samtredia municipality have become stranded on the water-swollen Rioni river after it overflowed its banks. Reportedly, they had livestock on grazing lands on the other bank of the river in the vicinity of the Gomi village.
Fire and rescue crews and representatives of the local government are on the scene.
Samtredia Mayor Valerian Potskhveria said that rescuers were sent in boats to the destination.
